Dr. Jennifer Dehnbostel (also known as Dr. D) graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners, Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, and Cincinnati Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. D has two teenagers that keep her busy, 2 long haired orange cats, and 4 dogs rescued from various organizations. In her free time she enjoys traveling, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, interior design, photography, and reading.
In March 2009, Dr. Dehnbostel purchased Pisgah West Chester Veterinary Clinic from Dr. L. McLaren. It was then renamed Animal Hospital of West Chester in September. The hospital offers small town charm with full service medical, surgical, boarding, and grooming.
Dr. Dehnbostel worked in day practice for 7 years before spending 2 years practicing emergency veterinary medicine. While she enjoyed her experience as an emergency veterinarian, she really missed providing lifelong care for pets and their families. Dr. D worked at Lakota Hills Animal Clinic for almost 5 years then created the opportunity to purchase the hospital in 2009. She enjoys both veterinary medicine and surgery. Her special interests include: small animal wellness “maintain good health and balance”, small animal geriatric medicine, soft tissue surgery, and orthopedic surgery. The most rewarding part of her job is watching a patient mature through all stages of life. "It’s a privilege to be there from the first consultation all the way through the time to say goodbye. It is an honor I share with each patient and their family.”

Dr. Kara Ringenbach (“Dr. Kara”) graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Spring of 2008. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Cincinnati Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Kara practiced in Virginia for several years while her husband, Michael was finishing school at Virginia Tech, and moved here to Cincinnati in Fall of 2010 with their three cats and one dog. They have a daughter Olivia Rose born in August 2012. In her spare time, Dr. Kara loves to paint, write, play the piano, garden, and generally take part in any outdoor activity involving her dog, daughter and husband.
Dr. Kara has enjoyed working with Dr. Dehnbostel the past 2 and 1/2 years. Her major medical interests are dermatology, neurology, and soft tissue surgery. However, her greatest joy as a veterinarian comes from allowing both pets and “their” people be better able to take care of each other – through both veterinary medicine and education.
